Director's Bio: 
Evalds Lacis is born in Riga, Latvia. He graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture as cameraman and currently works as a director of photography at Film Studio AB. He made his debut as director with The New Species (2008), which premiered at Berlin and was a runner-up at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. His other short films are Ice Master (2009) and Hedgehogs and The City (2013).
