Descriptive track for the visually impaired

Alex is blind and Brad can’t seem to stay out of trouble. These two young men are thrust into an unlikely friendship—training together for the cross-country track team. Filmed in Langley, B.C., this uplifting story is about overcoming the odds and finding the self-determination to achieve dreams… albeit, with a little help from the people who love you.  The all-star Canadian cast includes Richard Harmon, Jaren Brandt Bartlett (Arctic Air), Craig Bierko (Body of Proof), Lorne Cardinal (Corner Gas), and Jill Hennessy (Law and Order and Crossing Jordan).  The production is a family affair, starring Richard Harmon as the young lead, his sister Jessica as the coach, his father Allan directing and mother Cynde producing.

The theme song was written and performed by American Idol singer, songwriter, and pianist Scott MacIntyre, who happens to be visually impaired. Select cast and crew will be in attendance.

Themes: friendship, sports and disability, bullying, First Nations, coming of age
