Naina is driven by the motto “Shoot for the moon! Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” Naina’s family emigrated from Punjab, India to Canada many years ago. For the 11th-grader, this is an opportunity to combine the best of two cultures. For six years, she has been hosting a radio show at Red FM radio station in Surrey, B.C. She is also working on a music video she co-wrote, addressing Punjabi kids in Canada. Naina hardly has time for other activities, as she has to work hard in the last, defining years of high school. And then there are the weekly meetings at her local Gurdwara, or temple, where she regularly performs for the Sikh community.
Producer/writer Katja De Bock and Naina herself will be in attendance.
